About me
I am semi-professional photographer, living in Kranj, Slovenia. My first attempts in photography date back to 2005 and since 2008 I've been totally hooked. Photography has become my playground, my way of thinking and seeing the world around me and it really helps me in my professional life as psychotherapist and manager.
I first started to enlarge my basic photographic knowledge by participating in web photo portals and forums and good responses encouraged me on an even more intensive engagement in photography. On the year-round contest at "e-fotografija.si" web gallery I won the title of the "e-Photographer of the year 2010" and only a year later became the winner of "The Photographer of the year 2011" contest of the magazine "Digitalna revija".
In September 2010 I summoned up all my courage and sent my first photo to my first photo salon and since then I have participated in many domestic and international salons. Within a period of eighteen months I collected, with approximate 130 photos, 800 acceptations at 180 exhibitions in 25 countries. So far, I have been awarded 72 times for 30 photos; five times I've been nominated "Best Author"; I've won 2 gold, 11 silver and 6 bronze medals, all on top international exhibitions under FIAP patronage. Thus, for the year 2011, I collected over 6100 exhibitor points, granted by the Slovene Photographic Association which has, until now, been the highest yearly score by any Slovenian photographer.

About me

About me
I'm a child of the Belgian coast and the Flemish Polders. It is reflected in much of my photography, whether it is about the sea, the long straight polder canals or the weather beaten trees bent by the Southwesterly winds. The landscape in which I was born and raised, and where I still live today, is grand. It lets the eye travel to a far horizon which in turn invites to look further and seek new ones at home and abroad.
In search of new horizons I have traveled to Australia, Nepal, Canada and the United States. Traveling not only means new horizons. It also means experiencing deeper emotions. I capture these emotions in my images, which give them much more meaning than just being a recording of a landscape, a tree, a waterfall, the sea.
My photography is purely emotional. I want to give my photos a soul, I want to capture the emotions I felt when I took the photo and show them in the processed image. Every photo is a reflection of my soul.

About me

sono cresciuta in una camera oscura, guardando mio padre che lavorava con passione alle sue foto in bianco e nero. era tanto tempo fa e il ricordo è ancora vivo. più di 30 anni sono passati ... Aprile 2011 ho deciso di iniziare a scattare foto per ritrovare quella parte di me che si nascondeva. una persona speciale mi ha messo in mano una macchina fotografica, la mia prima (e unica) Canon ed ho iniziato la mia avventura. amo guardare, vedere, raccontare, emozionare ed emozionarmi ... grazie per aver speso un po' del vostro tempo per me.
I grew up in a darkroom, watching my father, who worked passionately to his b/w photos. It was a long time ago and the memory is still alive. more than 30 years have passed ... April 2011 I decided to start taking pictures to find that part of me that was hiding. a special person put a camera in my hand, my first (and only) Canon and I started my adventure. I love looking, seeing , telling a story, touching and being touched ... thank you for spending a bit of your time for me.

Coming from Holland I like to do story telling pictures in a vintage atmosphere. My scenes focus on detail. But a deep and longer look might open the door to another journey.

I was born in Saudi Arabia in 1988. I began (early 2008) photographing my nephews and nieces - using old brother?s non-professional Sony camera. Honestly, it was a part time hobby that I started doing when I had to stop my study at school. Not long time till I felt so passionate about seeing the whole world behind my camera and photography has become essential part of life.
There were dreams of travelling the world chasing exotic locations. Eventually better equipment was purchased and occasionally images were published in local Saudi, Gulf and Arabian Countries? sites, forums and magazines.

About me
Like any other photographer who pursues art, I try to bring something personal to every photo I take.
I am still learning a lot about photography every day, but as much as I discover through this discipline, I still recognize that photography is an open space, in which there are constantly new opportunities to explore it deeper.
Although I've always valued photography, how I came to this profession was rather coincidental. I helped my friend Vedran Vidak photograph a wedding, and our partnership worked out very well. He became my mentor after that, encouraging me to pursue what he believed was my inborn talent.
After spending a few years capturing regional subjects and scenery, I thought I could really challenge myself in the field, and so I joined a mission to Tanzania with an aid association.
In retrospect, I look at that decision as a kind of instinctual compass which reinforced my desire to do this type of photography.
I also find myself surrendering more and more to Africa, although I don't think it is a conscious decision on my part. Instead, there is an unparalleled and reassuring spirit emanating from that continent that it overwhelms with genuine and raw energy. And so, I was lured by it from the beginning, and that is where I feel I belong.

For my photography I like to present a personal vision on the world and what's happening arround us.
I do not like to close myself in a theme or style, and try to stay open to all kinds of approaches.
I don't do studio photography, I prefer to shoot outside and register life just as unexpected as it goes without interfering.
Besides photography I spend a lot of time sporting, and gardening.
Ans as my body doesn't enable me to sport as much as I could when I was a younger athlete I enjoy reading books when slowing down the time.
Now that my wife and I have more time, and still have a good health we hope to travel as much as possible to open new horizons and discover other cultures

About me
Jan Møller Hansen is an autodidact and passionate photographer. He works mainly with social documentary and street photography. From 2007 to 2012 he worked in Bangladesh. During spare time he went around in Dhaka and other cities with his cameras photographing women, children and men living in slums, acid survivors, transgenders, labourers, ship breakers and other oppressed and marginalised people in Bangladesh. Through the lens he wanted to explore reality and to learn about other people and their lives.
Photography helps in getting closer to reality and it connects. Good photographs are the ones that often stand best alone with few words and that provoke thoughts and feelings with the viewer. Photographs that expose the viewer to the endless facets of our facinating world. Photography can be completely unpredictable and often a big surprise. With the moment of the image, it brings with it the emotions and interaction with people and surroundings.
The universe is the infinity of never returning moments. Just existence. Photography can capture a moment in this infinity that will never reappear.
At present, Jan resides and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. Jan has lived four years in Nepal, four years in Vietnam, five years recently in Bangladesh and worked short-term in many Asian and African countries. He shoots with the best equipment from Canon.

Building one of the fastest growing mega cities in the World
Bangladesh has around 8000 brick kilns, and many hundreds are situated around the mega city Dhaka. Thousands of families are working and living on the brick kiln sites half of the year until the monsoon sets in and the brick kilns lie idle until next season.
During the dry season more than two thirds of all particles in the air in and around Dhaka city originate from the chimneys of the brick kilns.
Dhaka city has a population of around 15 Million people and is considered as one of the fastest growing mega cities in the World. The population of the city increases with some 300.000 - 400.000 people annually.

About me
Jan Møller Hansen is an autodidact and passionate photographer. He works mainly with social documentary and street photography. From 2007 to 2012 he worked in Bangladesh. During spare time he went around in Dhaka and other cities with his cameras photographing women, children and men living in slums, acid survivors, transgenders, labourers, ship breakers and other oppressed and marginalised people in Bangladesh. Through the lens he wanted to explore reality and to learn about other people and their lives.
Photography helps in getting closer to reality and it connects. Good photographs are the ones that often stand best alone with few words and that provoke thoughts and feelings with the viewer. Photographs that expose the viewer to the endless facets of our facinating world. Photography can be completely unpredictable and often a big surprise. With the moment of the image, it brings with it the emotions and interaction with people and surroundings.
The universe is the infinity of never returning moments. Just existence. Photography can capture a moment in this infinity that will never reappear.
At present, Jan resides and works in Copenhagen, Denmark. Jan has lived four years in Nepal, four years in Vietnam, five years recently in Bangladesh and worked short-term in many Asian and African countries. He shoots with the best equipment from Canon.

About me
I'm married, and have a supportive husband and two children. After a severe head injury, and subsequent long recovery, I decided I'd like to find another outlet for my creativity. Gardening and bonsai helped, and so I thought I'd like to take photos.....Enter my number one obsession!
I'd seen some macro images of plants somewhere, and so in 2004 I bought a second hand Canon G2, and joined a camera club. Competition there spurred me on, and in Oct 2004 I bought my first DSLR - a Canon 20D, with 15mm fisheye and 28-135mm. I shot in P mode with both cameras until I bought a lensbaby in 2005.
With lensbaby I just soared. I love the randomness of it, and the beauty of the blur. Needless to say the camera club judges were not impressed with blur! I have continued with my obsession though, to the extent that I own every lensbaby released, so far, apart from the latest one! LB Original is still a favourite, however Lensbaby composer is very much the go-to lens when a little more precision is required. (Precision is not a strong point in my life, I must add!)
Meanwhile I'd been talking to a gentleman on the lensbaby forum, who sold me some hand made lenses with holga optics. From there a friend and myself adapted those, so now I've a few special hand made bendy lenses that I use for nudes.
In 2008 I started to shoot nudes more regularly, both male and female. I find it a challenge, because I'm not a particularly social person. I do love seeing the joy on their faces when they're asked to do silly things though! I sometimes get my best shots that way. Random, chaotic and unplanned is my modus operandi.
I have to say I've been very lucky to have been able to feed my obsession, because it doesn't feed me! Still, the people I've met along the way, who've helped and guided me, along with my need to keep learning new skills have been the reason I'm able to produce a nice picture every so often!
