如题活动策划了近一年，，目前参加的人员有：
军长，蓝鹊，云淡，WINE，法雨，羽翎，SWEET（深圳）+1，疯游隼（深圳）

由于参加的人员临时有变动，按计划，我们还有两个空位，路途遥远，机会难得，请慎重考虑后尽快报名。

9月26日晚9点广州白云机场出发，10月6日早8点半肯尼亚内罗毕机场返回广州

行程及相关信息：
Day 01 – 27th Sept 08 Arrival in Nairobi – Mt. Kenya Forest
Upon arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, we will meet you after clearing with the immigration and board our specially made 4WD tour buses. Immediately drive towards Thika which is going to be our first stop. Here we will have some tea & coffee as well as safari orientation before some birding. At the hotel grounds, which have 2 waterfalls, birds to look for include Trumpeter Hornbill, occasional Purple-crested Turaco, African Black Duck, Giant and Striped Kingfishers, Sombre and Grey-olive Greenbuls, African Pen※※※※ne Tit and Black-collared Apalis. Proceed on to Castle Forest Lodge via rice paddies north of Thika and expect to arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. The rest of the day will be spent birding around the forest trails, nearby river as well as the lodge grounds. Dinner and overnight will be at Castle Forest Lodge. (5 Hrs) (Due to the stops it will take approximately 5 hours to get to the lodge)

Castle Forest Lodge, the grounds are good for birding. Here, we can bird the grounds and the route up to Mt. Kenya. The key species in the area include: Olive and Eastern Bronze-naped Pigeons, Red-fronted Parrot, Hartlaub’s Turaco, Scarce Swift, Crowned and Silvery-cheeked Hornbills, Moustached Green and Yellow-rumped Tinkerbirds, Cape Wagtail, Black Saw-wing, Yellow-whiskered, Slender-billed and Mountain Greenbuls, White-starred Robin, Cape Robin Chat, Cinnamon Bracken Warbler, Hunter’s Cisticola, Chestnut-throated, Grey and Black-throated Apalises, White-browed Crombec, African Dusky Flycatcher, Rufous Chatterer, Chin-spot Batis, Montane White-eye, White-bellied Tit, Tropical Boubou, Grey Cuckoo-shrike, Montane Oriole, Waller’s Starling, Red-billed Oxpecker, Olive, Taccaze, Northern and Eastern Double-collared Sunbirds, Brown-capped Weaver, Yellowbellied Waxbill, Thick-billed Seed-eater, Yellow-crowned Canary and Oriole-Finch. Raptors include Harrier Hawk, Crowned Eagle, Cuckoo Falcon, Great Sparrowhawk and the scarce Grey Kestrel and Rufous-sided Sparrowhawk. Montane Nightjar can be seen and heard in the evening, and Olive Ibis sometimes flies through as they head to roost.

Day 02 – 28th Sept 08 Arid Samburu Game Reserve
After breakfast this morning we drive further north to Samburu with picnic lunch boxes to allow us birding along the way. On the way we will look for the near-endemic Boran Cisticola, as well Dusky Turtle Dove, Plain-backed Pipit, Little Rock Thrush, Cape Rook, Blue-eared Starling and Red-collared, Long-tailed and Jackson’s Widowbirds. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Samburu reserve, in time for our evening en route birding and mammal watching towards Samburu Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight. (6 hrs)

Day 03 – 29th Sept 08 Samburu Game Reserve
Today we will have a full day to explore Samburu game reserve with a set of game drives. All our meals and our second night will be at Samburu Serena Lodge.

Samburu itself is an excellent reserve for birding (it actually consists of a complex of 3 reserves, Buffalo Springs, Samburu & Shaba). The area is mainly dry acacia savannah, but has riverine forest along the river banks, along with doum palms. This area has several unusual species, more commonly encountered in the arid north. Spectacular species include Somali Ostrich, Secretary Bird, Vulturine Guineafowl and Kori and Buff-crested Bustards. Specialities of the area include Somali Courser, Somali Bee-eater, White-headed Mousebird, Violet Woodhoopoe, Bare-eyed Thrush, Straw-coloured Whydah, Golden Pipit, Golden-breasted Starling, Shining and Black-bellied Sunbirds and Donaldson-Smith’s Sparrow-Weaver. Raptors are commonly seen and include Egyptian, Hooded, African White-backed, Rüppell’s Griffon, Lappet-faced and Palm-nut Vultures, Bateleur, Harrier-Hawk, Pale Chanting and Gabar Goshawks, Brown Snake Eagle, Verreaux’s, Tawny and Martial Eagles, African Hawk Eagle and Pygmy Falcon. Species likely to be seen whilst driving through the reserve include; Crested Francolin, Yellow-necked Spurfowl, Helmeted Guineafowl, Chestnut-bellied, Liechtenstein's and
Black-faced Sandgrouse, Namaqua Dove, Orange-bellied Parrot, Black-and-white, Great Spotted, Redchested, African and Diederik Cuckoos, White-browed Coucal, Pearl-spotted Owlet, Slender-tailed Nightjar, Palm Swift, Blue-naped Mousebird, Grey-headed and Striped Kingfishers, White-throated and Little Beeeaters, Lilac-breasted and Rufous-crowned Rollers, Common Hoopoe, Abyssinian Scimitarbill, Eastern Yellow-billed and Von der Decken's Hornbills, Black-throated, D'Arnaud's and Red-and-yellow Barbets, Greater Honeyguide, Nubian, Grey, Cardinal and Bearded Woodpeckers, Singing Bush Lark, Red-winged, Pink-breasted and Fawn-coloured Larks, Fischer’s and Chestnut-headed Sparrow-Larks, Wire-tailed Swallow, Rock Martin, White-browed Scrub Robin, Southern Black and African Grey Flycatchers, Rattling, Ashy and Desert Cisticolas, Pale Prinia, Grey Wren-Warbler, Yellow-breasted Apalis, Red-fronted Warbler, Banded Parisoma, Northern Crombec, Yellow-bellied and Yellow-vented Eremomelas, Northern Grey Tit, Mousecoloured Pen※※※※ne Tit, Pygmy Batis, Northern White-crowned Shrike, Taita Fiscal, Three-streaked Tchagra, Bru-bru, Rosy-patched Shrike, Slate-coloured Boubou, Northern Puffback, Black-headed Oriole, Fan-tailed Raven, Fischer’s, Magpie and Wattled Starlings, Eastern Violet-backed, Hunter’s and Mariqua Sunbirds, Chestnut Sparrow, Yellow-spotted Petronia, Black-capped Social Weaver, Speckle-fronted, Vitelline Masked, Lesser Masked and Chestnut Weavers, Red-billed Quelea, Blue-capped Cordon-bleu, Purple Grenadier, Crimson-rumped and Black-cheeked Waxbills, African Silverbill, Cut-throat Finch, Yellow-rumped Seed-eater, White-bellied Canary and Somali Golden-breasted Bunting. Common birds include Emerald Spotted Wood Dove, Mourning Dove, White-bellied Go-away-bird, Red-billed Hornbill, Northern Brownbul, Rufous Chatterer, Spotted Morning Thrush, Red-billed and White-headed Buffalo Weavers, Golden Palm and Black-headed Weavers, and Parrot-billed Sparrow. In terms of mammals, there are several unusual species present, which specialise in this dryer area. These include both Grevy’s and Grant's Zebras, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe (Reticulated Giraffe, African Elephant, Kirk’s Dikdik, Grant’s and Thompson's Gazelles and Impala. Lion are reasonably common, and Cheetah are possible. The trees along the river offer good conditions for finding Leopard.

Day 04 – 30th Sept 08 Naro Moru
This morning after breakfast and some final birding in Samburu, we head back south with picnic lunch boxes, we will have the option of visiting Meru Forest, where Kenya’s only Black-and-White Flycatchers can be seen. We will hope to arrive in Naro Moru River Lodge later in afternoon. The rest of the day will be spent birding around the lodge’s beautiful grounds and the area along the river line and the nearby forest. Dinner and overnight will be at Naro Moru River Lodge. (4hrs)

The grounds around Naro Moru River Lodge provide excellent highland birding. The key species to look for include: Olive and Eastern Bronze-naped Pigeons, Red-fronted Parrot, Hartlaub’s Turaco, Scarce Swift, Crowned and Silverycheeked Hornbills, Moustached Green and Yellow-rumped Tinkerbirds, Cape Wagtail, Black Sawwing, Yellow-whiskered, Slender-billed and Mountain Greenbuls, White-starred Robin, Cape Robin Chat, Cinnamon Bracken Warbler, Hunter’s Cisticola, Chestnut-throated, Grey and Black-throated Apalises, Grey-capped Warbler, White-browed Crombec, African Dusky Flycatcher, Rufous Chatterer, Chin-spot Batis, Montane White-eye, White-bellied Tit, Tropical Boubou, Grey Cuckooshrike, Montane Oriole, Waller’s Starling, Red-billed Oxpecker, Eastern Double-collared Sunbird, Brown-capped Weaver, Yellow-bellied Waxbill, Thick-billed Seed-eater, Yellow-crowned Canary and Oriole-Finch. Raptors include Harrier Hawk, Crowned Eagle, Great Sparrowhawk and the scarce Grey Kestrel and Rufous-sided Sparrowhawk. Mammals include Black-and-White Colobus and Syke's Monkey.

Day 05 – 01st Oct 08 Lake Baringo
After an early breakfast, we depart the slopes of Mt. Kenya driving across the Solio Plains which are excellent for Long-tailed, Red-collared and Jackson’s Widowbirds, and wintering birds may have begun to arrive, including Pallid and Montagu’s Harriers, Lesser Kestrel, Eurasian Roller and European Bee-eater. Both Sharpe’s Longclaw and Denham’s Bustard have been recorded here, as well as more common Kori Bustard, Capped Wheatear, Spotted Dikkop, Crowned and Blacksmith Lapwings and Pectoral-patch Cisticolas. We can then visit a quarry for Mackinder’s Eagle Owll roosting. We will make a brief stop marshes at Thompson’s Falls are home to African Snipe, African Marsh Harrier, Cape Wagtail and Tinkling Cisticola. We will proceed to Baringo via Nakuru town for lunch at Bontana Hotel. After lunch proceed to Baringo arriving in time for a drive and walk to the cliffs for evening birding. Our dinner and overnight will be at Lake Baringo Country Club. (7hrs) again due to several stops

Lake Baringo is a freshwater lake, and is often good for Saddle-billed Stork. The grounds of the Club have Vitelline Masked, Northern Masked, Jackson’s Golden-backed, little and Whitebilled Buffalo Weavers, Northern Red Bishop, Brown Babbler, Verreaux’s Eagle Owl, Red-and- Yellow Barbet and Beautiful Sunbird. Nearby scrub is excellent for White-faced Scops Owl, Heuglin’s Courser, Spotted Dikkop, Bru-bru and Slender-tailed Nightjar.

Day 06 – 02nd Oct 08 Baringo to Lake Nakuru National Park
Pre-breakfast at Baringo, a trip to the cliffs is a must, as it offers the opportunity of several scarce northern species, including Bristle-crowned Starling, Hemprich’s and Jackson’s Hornbills, Brown-tailed Rock Chat, Mocking Cliff-chat, Northern Grey Tit, Green-winged Pytilia and others. Spotted Eagle Owl is also resident. After quality birding and an Optional boat ride (Extra) we head south to Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge. Early afternoon will be spent at leisure before we embark on our evening game drive with dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge. (2 1/2hrs)

Lake Nakuru is the most famous of the Rift Valley’s lakes. With very attractive Yellow-barked Acacias (fever trees) and magnificent escarpments, the park has been recognized as an international Biosphere. Lake Nakuru is well known for holding spectacular concentrations of Lesser Flamingoes and small numbers of Grater Flamingoes. Bird life is abundant and we will hope to see; Little Grebe, White and Pink-backed Pelicans, White-breasted and Long-tailed Cormorants, Little and Great White Egrets, African Spoonbill, Cape and Hottentot Teals, Avocet, Black-winged Stilt, Kittlitz’s and Blacksmith Plovers, Grey-headed Gull, Gull-billed, Whiskered and White-winged Terns, In the lakeside trees and grassland are Temminck's Courser, Coqui and Hildebrandt's Francolins, Klaas’ and Black Cuckoos, Nyanza and Horus Swifts, Pied Kingfisher, White-fronted Bee-eater, Broad-billed Roller, Green Woodhoopoe, Scaly-throated Honeyguide, Red-throated Wryneck, Red-capped Lark, Red-rumped and Mosque Swallows, Yellow-throated Longclaw, Arrow-marked Babbler, Schalow's Wheatear, Cliff Chat, Black-crowned and Brown-crowned Tchagras, Rüppell's Long-tailed Starling and Red-headed Weavers. Among the wealth of the African mammals, we will enjoy seeing the Black and White Rhinos, Bohor Reedbuck, Common & Defassa Waterbucks, Impalas, African Cape Buffalo, Rothschild’s Giraffes, Silver-backed Jackals, Spotted Hyena, and if lucky, the tree-climbing Lions of Lake Nakuru. Nakuru is also one of the best places in Kenya to chance for the Leopards!

Day 07 – 03rd Oct 08 World Seventh Wonder Maasai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast we depart for the world renowned Maasai Mara with a lunch stopover at the Mara Sarova Lodge. After lunch we will skirt the Mara to where our camp overlooks the reserve, whilst set in a key birding area. There are several possible stops en route, which can bring some of Kenya’s scarcest species. These include; Magpie Shrike, the newly-discovered Karamoja Apalis, Greater Kestrel and Swallow-tailed Kite. Dinner and overnight will be at Mara West Camp. (7 hrs)

Day 08 – 04th Oct 08 Masai Mara (Mara West Camp)
We have all day to explore the Masai Mara. The area around the Camp present the best birding area patrolled on foot. One of the key areas is the Oloololo Escarpment, where we may find Scaly Francolin, Schalow's Turaco, Narina Trogon, Usambiro Barbet, Green-backed Woodpecker, African Grey-headed Woodpecker, Flappet Lark, Red-tailed and Sooty Chats, Northern Black Flycatcher, Trilling, Rock-loving and Long-tailed Cisticolas, Pale Wren-Warbler, Green-capped Eremomela, Yellow-bellied Hyliota, Red-throated Tit, Hildebrandt's Starling and Swahili Sparrow. Other specialities include; Rufous-bellied Heron, Harlequin Quail, Red-necked Spurfowl, Black-bellied Bustard, African Wattled and Senegal Lapwings, Barefaced Go-away Bird, Southern Ground Hornbill, White-tailed and Athi Short-toed Larks, Rosy-breasted Longclaw, Banded Martin, Rufous-chested Swallow, Stout, Lyne’s, Short-winged, Black-backed and Croaking Cisticolas, African Quailfinch, Red-collared and Yellow-mantled Widowbirds and Grey-capped Social-weaver.

The mammals need no real introduction, as the reserve is world-famous. Wildebeest will be numerous, and there will be plenty of attendant predators, including Spotted Hyena, Lion and Cheetah. There are large Elephant herds, and Topi is a speciality of the plains. With luck we may also find Leopard. All our meals and overnight will be at Mara West Camp.

Day 09 – 05th Oct 08 Return to Nairobi
After breakfast at the Mara we will drive to Nairobi with picnic lunch boxes via Limuru Ponds. The ponds hold an almost complete range of East African ducks, and other waders. In particular we will look for; White-Backed, Yellow-billed and Maccoa Ducks, Red-billed and Hottentots Teals, Southern Pochard, Little Grebes, Knob-billed Ducks, Fulvous & White-faced Whistling Ducks and Red-knobbed Coot. Feeding amongst them are Yellow-billed and, Sacred Ibis and African Spoonbills. We will hope to arrive in Nairobi early evening to prepare for your farewell dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant and return for overnight at Boulevard Hotel. (7hrs)

Day 10 – 06th Oct 08 Transfer to Airport – Departure
We will organize for a 06:00hrs breakfast so that we transfer you to the airport early enough for your morning flight back home departing at 09:00hrs. Safe Journey!!

Brief Hotel Information

Castle Forest Lodge: On the slopes of Mt. Kenya, above 2000m, with great views over the forest, and of the mountain (if clear). The accommodation is in chalets, and it can get cool at night. Fires will be made in the rooms if requested. The electricity is from solar cells, and therefore you are requested not to leave lights on for a long time. Hot water is mainly in the morning.

Naro Moru River Lodge: Set in birdy gardens along a river, the accommodation is in comfortable en suite chalets.

Samburu Serena Lodge: Up market luxury lodge in the heart of the reserve.

Lake Baringo Club: Luxury lodge set in very birdy gardens. Accommodation is in chalets.

Lake Nakuru Lodge: Set in one of the worlds’ wonderland a wetland teaming with bird and wildlife. Accommodation is in Family Rooms, Cottages and Suites.

Mara West Camp: Some of the facilities are shared here. The camp does not serve a lot of varieties of alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own to consume in your own tent. Electricity may be restricted at night, so bring torch/candles/matches. (N/B we are not comfortable using Mara Hippo Camp due to previous clients’ frequent complaints even from other companies and Mara West Camp offers the best opportunity for walking and grounds for wonderful birding)

Hotel Boulevard: A standard city hotel, popular with tour companies, alongside the Nairobi River, in a fairly quiet area. Internet Café.
